Q:

Is it possible to attend the FLOFEST Qualifications and Finals?

A:

Of course! Two Observer passes are available: The Regular Observer pass which gives access to Qualifications and Finals as well as the VIP Observer pass which gives access to all festival activities (Competition + Convention + Other festival activities).

Q:

Is there a limited number of passes available for the Qualifications?

A:

Since bracelets provide access throughout the weekend, there is no limit of passes. Throughout the day, spectators can enter and exit between each number.

Q:

Is it permissible to take photos and/or videos during Qualifications or Finals?

A:

It is strictly forbidden to film or take pictures during Qualifications and Finals. Each of the numbers presented will be photographed and filmed by our team of professionals. The sale will be available online.

Q:

Is it possible to buy additional FLOFEST trophies?

A:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy additional trophies.

Q:

Is there a specific registration procedure for international dancers?

A:

Please refer to the FLOFEST INFO KIT for full details and tips for international participants.

Q:

How are the finalists chosen for each of the Finals?

A:

Depending on the score received by the judges during the Qualifications, a set number of routines will be chosen to participate in the Finals.

Q:

How many finalists will there be at the Finals?

A:

In total, 35 routines selected during the Qualifications will participate in the Finals (10 routines for the Junior Final, 10 routines for the Varsity Final, 10 routines for the Senior Final, 5 routines for the Production Final).

When can I register?

A:

Registrations for FLOFEST 2021 will start at the end of the summer.

Q:

What is the deadline for registration?

A:

There is no deadline. However, we advise you to register as soon as our events sell out quickly.

Q:

I'm having problems with my online registration account what should I do?

A:

If you are having trouble with your online registration account, please email us at [email protected]. It will be our pleasure to assist you.

Q:

What methods of payment are accepted to finalize registrations?

A:

Please note that we accept payment by check or Interac transfer. Payment information will be sent to you with your official invoice.

Q:

Can I make changes to my account once my subscriptions are submitted?

A:

You will be able to make your changes directly in your online account by clicking on “Change my routines”.

Q:

Is it possible to get a refund if a dancer leaves a crew or if we have to cancel a routine?

A:

Once the payment has been sent, registrations are final and there is no refund for registration fees.

Q:

When will the schedule be available?

A:

Schedules are available one month before the festival, at the latest.

Q:

When should I send the music? How to proceed?

A:

The music must be sent one week before the event. To do this, you must go to your online account under the Music tab. You will then be able to upload your files.

Q:

What are the stage dimensions?

A:

The stage measures a minimum of 44 feet wide x 30 feet deep.

How can I get Qualifications results?

A:

The link to access the results file will be sent before the start of the qualifications. Results will be uploaded directly throughout the Qualifications

Q:

Is it possible to have the ranking of all the routines in a category?

A:

We only announce the top 3 at the awards ceremony. The specific classification of a routine will be forwarded to the studio owner/director in addition to the details of the judges’ evaluation.

Q:

In the list of deductions, what do you mean by inappropriate, obscene or offensive language?

A:

Inappropriate, obscene or offensive language refers to any blasphemous, derogatory, denigrating vocabulary and/or targeting a specific person or group of people. A movement, costume or concept deemed inappropriate for the general public. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are not sure: [email protected].

Do I have to participate in the Qualifications to have access to the different workshops and activities?

A:

No, anyone interested in the workshops and activities can participate!

Q:

Are the Qualifications taking place at the same time as the different workshops and activities?

A:

There is no competition during the workshops and activities. Everyone can participate!

Q:

Is it possible to attend the Artistic Production on Saturday evening?

A:

Of course! Tickets to attend the show will be available online.

Is FLOFEST cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19?

A:

For the well-being of our dancers, participants and visitors, we must postpone the FLOFEST event scheduled for July 10 to 12, 2020 to July 2-4, 2021.

What happens with the registrations of my dancers?

A:

If you are a studio owner registered for FLOFEST, you have been contacted by a member of our team informing you about our registration transfer policies.
